Craig Mac - Solo
Born and raised on Wirral, Craig has been playing the guitar and writing songs for many years, not only with various bands such as the Clan but also as a solo acoustic guitarist.
Playing solo is a chance for him to cover and experience different genres and styles that do not always fit within a Band setting; this is what you get from a Craig Mac solo show.
Yes, there will be everyone’s’ acoustic favourites together with a few songs that might not be what people are expecting but everyone knows, all good and sing along choices.
In addition, there may be a few of the Clan’s tracks re-arranged for the acoustic guitar environment and some acoustic songs from Craig’s solo back catalogue. The USA College hit “Memories Remain” for example.
What you will not get is pre-recorded backing tracks. Everything you hear is performed 100% live at the show, yes there may be some Loop recording but that is created live during the performance not loaded from pre-recordings.
The reason that Craig takes this approach is that he considers it allows a much more engaging show for the audience who feel far more involved. Not relying on pre-recorded backing tracks allows far more spontaneity and greater audience interaction which all serve to increase the fun and the live feel.
As an experienced live performer there are often stories and anecdotes from his career to accompany the songs.
It is a bit different, but this is what makes a Craig Mac solo show unique and entertaining.
